AVBC Revise their core strategy

Amber Valley Borough Council is being recommended to include the 400 houses in its emerging Local Plan at its planning meeting on Wednesday 23rd July 2014 at the Town Hall, Ripley 7pm.

This follows a "Local plan part 1 pre-submission strategy response" to the council from Catesby Estates objecting to the existing local plan on the grounds that it is "not sound".

Catesby Estates are arguing the fact that the land in question is not highlighted in the ABVC core housing strategy, as they believe it to be potential building land.

It is believed that AVBC will hold a consulation period during July and August to understand residents thoughts before a result is announced.
