AVBC Issue Further Consultation to Core Strategy

FURTHER PROPOSED CHANGES TO THE SUBMITTED CORE STRATEGY

(PART 1 OF THE AMBER VALLEY BOROUGH LOCAL PLAN)

Consultation on the Further Proposed Changes

At an Extraordinary Meeting held on 15 October 2014, the Council considered the representations received in response to consultation on Proposed Changes to the submitted Core Strategy and has agreed a number of Further Proposed Changes to the submitted Core Strategy, for consultation.

The Further Proposed Changes will be published for consultation at 4.30 pm on Monday 27 October 2014, for a period of 6 weeks ending at 4.30 pm on Monday 8 December 2014.

Representations should only be made in respect of the Further Proposed Changes.

Copies of the Further Proposed Changes will be made available for inspection at the following venues from 4.30 pm on Monday 27 October 2014, during normal opening hours:

Town Hall, Ripley; Alfreton Library; Belper Library; Duffield Library; Heanor Library (re-located to Ray Street), Ripley Library and Somercotes Library.

The Further Proposed Changes will also available to view on the Council’s web site from 4.30 pm on Monday 27 October 2014 atwww.ambervalley.gov.uk/communityplanninglatestnews

Representations on the Further Proposed Changes should be submitted on-line using the form available via the above link. Forms will also be available for completion at the above locations and can be delivered either by hand or by post to:

Please note that all representations must arrive by no later than 4.30 pm on Monday 8 December 2014.

The Next Steps

Any representations received by the Council on the Further Proposed Changes will be referred to the Inspector for his consideration when he re-convenes the Core Strategy examination.

The purpose of the examination is to consider if the Core Strategy is:

a) Legally compliant – it has been prepared in accordance with statute and regulations;

b) Sound – that it’s content is positively prepared, justified, effective and consistent with national planning policy.
