AVBC Reconsider Core Strategy

RESIDENTS will give their views on a decision to remove a controversial site in Allestree from consideration for development in a six-week consultation.

The latest plans for 400 homes on land close to the historic Kedleston Hall were refused by Amber Valley Borough Council.

The site was then removed from the council's core strategy for housing to be built by 2028 at a full council meeting on July 15.

A site for 60 homes at Amber Heights was also taken out of consideration, with a plot for 80 homes in Hall Road, Langley Mill included.

A consultation was opened yesterday at 4.30pm and will run until September 4.

Copies of the revisions to the further proposed changes will be available to view at

The information is also available at the following venues during normal opening hours –
